Building a sustainable future

This November, 5-11, 2025, three global leaders working to build a sustainable future, Sustainable Ocean Solutions (SOS), Builders Vision, and Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) will unite their flagship gatherings in San Francisco for a unique ocean-climate experience. The program opens on November 5 with 1.5 days of high-level summit sessions, bringing together innovators, youth leaders, policy makers, and academics, and investors to advance solutions in renewable energy, sustainable aquaculture, ecosystem restoration, and climate adaptation.

Aligning global networks

Together, SOS, Builders, and SOA are creating a new model for collaboration and a powerful platform to drive cross-sector partnerships and scale the next wave of ocean-climate solutions.

“The most pressing ocean challenges must be solved with science, innovation, investment, and youth leadership. By aligning our global networks, we can scale solutions faster and more effectively than ever before.” - Anne Park, CEO, Sustainable Ocean Alliance

Powerful partnership

The 2025 Summit will coincide with the U.S tour of the Statsraad Lehmkuhl’s One Ocean Expedition, a year-long circumnavigation raising awareness of the ocean’s role in a sustainable future. While the ship's San Francisco docking provides a unique backdrop, the aim of this gathering is to merge networks, resources and ideas into one powerful partnership.

About Sustainable Ocean Solutions
Sustainable Ocean Solutions (SOS) is a global community for ocean innovation launched by pioneering ocean players, including Farvatn, cChange, and Kataput Ocean, during One Ocean Week in 2023 in Bergen, Norway. It unites science, industry, technology, policy, and investment to accelerate ocean sustainability. In 2025, SOS will bring this vision to San Francisco and set sail to shape the next wave of solutions. Sustainable Ocean Solutions Summit in San Francisco is followed by a hands-on voyage aboard the historic Statsraad Lehmkuhl to San Diego. The expedition is a continuation of the summit, offering real-time ocean science and turning ideas into action aboard. As part of the UN Decade of Ocean Science, the voyage provides a shared platform to explore ocean challenges, foster connections, and inspire leadership for a sustainable future.
